Glamour Magazine Unveils Brand New Look, Hopes To ‘Pop’ In The Digital Age
Glamour Magazine recently welcomed its new editor-in-chief, Samantha Barry, who brought with her a vision of helping the publication stay relevant in this digitally-advanced world.
The May 2018 issue will see a radical redesign of the 79-year-old magazine, complete with a new masthead and distinct sections of content.
Diverting from its ‘Franklin Gothic Heavy’-like typeface, Glamour has adopted a contemporary, architectural design, which Business of Fashion learned aims to help the magazine “pop” not just in newsstands, but also online.
Glamour Magazine’s content structure has also been revamped and split into four sections: ‘#Look’; ‘#Feel’; ‘#Live’; ‘#Think’.
Marking the milestone is Melissa McCarthy, who fronts the upcoming ‘Money’-themed issue. Impressively, the actress started out with just US$5 in the bank, but has now become a “million-dollar mogul.”
A website redesign is also set to arrive in September 2018. Meanwhile, check out the new look below.
