Burberry Unveils New Logo And Vintage Monogram That Pays Homage To Its Founder
The unveilings come ahead of Tisci’s debut runway show for Burberry during London Fashion Week this September.
The designs were created in partnership with British art director Peter Saville, who redesigned the Calvin Klein logo together with Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons last year.
On its Instagram, Burberry shared some behind-the-scenes on the creative process for the monogram through a series of email exchanges between Saville and Tisci. The vintage monogram, inspired by the brand’s archives, pays homage to its founder Thomas Burberry.
The logo and monogram will roll out across all of Burberry’s channels and inside a new ad campaign beginning Thursday.
