Striking Sea Pollution Ads Convey Sobering Message About ‘Plastic Oceans’

Global marine conservation non-profit Sea Shepherdhas joined hands with FF New York to underscore how plastics have replaced a bulk of water bodies and are hurting the livelihoods of sea creatures.

The vibrant campaign titled ‘The Plastic Ocean’ sports three eye-popping posters and an illustrative animation. It paints an attention-grabbing, “dreamlike and colorful” picture, which unfortunately brings to light the “sad reality of sea animals trapped in plastic waste.”

“Plastics are invading the oceans on an unprecedented scale,” described Captain Alex Cornelissen, global CEO of Sea Shepherd, in a press statement.

“Like an invasive species, it is wiping out ocean wildlife and taking over its habitat.” View the campaign below.
