Zara’s Confusing Promo Logo Has People Asking If It’s Rebranding As A Pharmacy
Last Thursday, Zara unexpectedly updated its Facebook logo to feature one of its lettermark in a green square. The letters ‘A’ and ‘R’ in the middle were highlighted by a rounded box, likely referencing an AR-focused event.
The new profile picture arrived without a description, so fans struggled to figure out what it might have meant. Several joked that Zara was pivoting towards the medical route.
“Is Zara becoming a pharmacy?” pondered one Facebook user. “I need paracetamol, please,” requested another.
Elsewhere, the logo was criticized for its uncharacteristic design. “As far as the Zara I know… this is unsettling at best,” wrote a Reddit user in the platform’s ‘Graphic Design’ community.
“They’ve spent how many years establishing their high-end, classic, black-and white branding, only to jump to this? How odd.”
One thing’s for sure: there’s not much in the world that heals like retail therapy does.
