Huawei’s ‘P20 Pro’ Is Anticipated To Come With 40-Megapixel Camera Made By Leica
If you’re one of those who have ditched their DSLRs for smartphone cameras, Huawei’s upcoming device could be your next toy.
Thus far, reports have suggested that the new Huawei P20 might be the “world’s first” smartphone to possess triple-camera functionality.
An exciting new speculation has surfaced a few days ahead of the phone’s launch. WinFuture cites smartphone insider Evan Blass that the Huawei P20 Pro will feature a 40-megapixel rear camera made by Leica—an incredible step from today’s 12-megapixel phone cameras.
The extremely high resolution would place the Huawei P20 Pro in the same league as the Nokia 808 and Lumia 1020, both of which have 41-megapixel cameras.
Aside from the powerful rear camera, Huawei P20 Pro will allegedly come packed with a 20-megapixel black-and-white sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor. The latter would offer 3x optical zoom without compromising too much detail, and is poised to be able to produce slow-motion videos at 960 frames per second.
Additionally, the smartphone’s front-facing camera is said to take 24-megapixel photos for extra-clear selfies.
Brace yourselves, mobile shutterbugs, as the Huawei P20 lands on 27 March 2018.
