Like many of you, web designer and portrait photographer Nathaniel Dodson used to dread the task of removing stray hairs in images for client work.

The burden comes with getting the photo’s background to match after these wild strands of hair had been cloned out.

In this new tutorial, Dodson shares a wholly non-destructive and efficient way to erase flyaway hairs from photos to realistic effect. This is achieved by utilizing the blending power of Photoshop’s ‘Healing Brush Tool’ that creates cleaner edges for hair.
