Not long ago, Adobe unveiled its 10 design predictions for 2017. Now, it’s zoomed in on seven design trends that businesses should know about for this year.

The list covers monoline illustration, long form ads that tell a story, responsive design, live video, virtual and augmented reality, minimalism and aerial views.

1. Monoline illustration

As more brands choose to personalize their visuals, a favored style that’s surfaced is the monoline. Its simplicity helps to break down complex ideas into fun and engaging drawings.


2. Long form ads that tell a story

Video is foreseen is to become a great channel for interactive storytelling. In an age where people’s attention span is getting shorter and shorter, longer ads that convey a clear story are a breath of fresh air. H&M’s Christmas ad, directed by Wes Anderson, is cited as a prime example.

3. Responsive design
